Ismaelena

Owner M.M. Vocal Performance / M.M. Choral Conducting Voice and Piano

Ismaelena is the proud owner of Songbird Music School. She has been singing her heart out all her life and has been teaching the art of song for over a decade! Ismaelena customizes her teaching approach based on the needs and goals of each student, using her experience in classical, theater, and contemporary genres to create a custom curriculum! "My desire is to help singers of any age and skill level sing with freedom, ease, and passion."

Hunter

B.A. Guitar Performance / Guitar

Hunter Anderson has been studying guitar for 10 years with renowned professional guitarists, musicians, and music industry specialists. Hunter received classical training at the University of Arkansas School of Music, majoring in Guitar Performance. He is passionate about versatility in musicianship as he performs in a variety of genres including rock, blues, jazz, country, bluegrass, classical, and folk music. Currently, he is playing with a local country music recording artist, Cherise Carver while also recording original music that will be released to all streaming platforms later this year.

Kimber

Kimber Parker is a dedicated music instructor with ten years of experience teaching music to students of all ages. She holds a Bachelors in Music and Masters in Music Education, both from Oregon State University. Kimber specializes in contemporary and classical voice lessons, beginning to intermediate piano lessons, and beginning guitar lessons. When not teaching at Songbird Studio, she works as the music teacher at Washington Elementary and enjoys running, drinking coffee, and reading.

Emily

B.A. Music Education / Voice and Piano

Emily is a graduate of the University of Arkansas, where she was a member of the premier choral ensemble Schola Cantorum, the Razorback Marching Band, and the opera program. She was trained to teach both piano and voice to students of all ages . Having competed in classical vocal competitions after graduation, Emily continues her love for choral music as a current member of the Symphony of Northwest Arkansas (SoNA) singers. Emily has three years of experience teaching music in public schools and loves the opportunity to teach privately as well. She focuses on teaching students how to read music, build sight-reading skills, and sing with healthy technique, helping them build a strong musical foundation to express themselves confidently and safely. In her free time, Emily enjoys spending time with her husband, Willie and their family.

Rachel

B.A. Music / Voice

Rachel Zimmerman currently serves as Worship Leader and Vocal Coordinator at SOCO Church in Bentonville. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Music from Evangel University, where she refined her skills in both performance and vocal leadership.

Rachel has performed internationally with the Bentonville Chamber Choir in Ireland and at the Sacred Arts Festival in Rome with Evangel University’s Chorale. These experiences have shaped her artistry and deepened her passion for excellence in worship and choral performance.

Specializing in both contemporary and classical voice, Rachel is dedicated to helping vocalists grow in skill, confidence, and artistry. Her mission is to equip each student with the tools they need to achieve their personal goals and thrive as confident, expressive singers.

Charlie

Flute

Charlie Tullis, a native of Northwest Arkansas, began his musical journey at the piano before discovering his passion for the flute. In 2023, he earned a position in the prestigious National Youth Orchestra 2, where he studied alongside world-class musicians and made his debut at Carnegie Hall.

Charlie is deeply connected to his local musical community in Northwest Arkansas. From solo performances with the Symphony of Northwest Arkansas to participating in local band and orchestra clinics, he has developed a strong appreciation for the vibrant arts culture in the region. His performance experience has cultivated a genuine passion for pedagogy and mentoring students through each stage of their musical growth.

Currently, Charlie studies flute performance with Dr. Cristina Ballatori at the University of Arkansas. He teaches students of all ages, backgrounds, and skill levels, and is committed to providing the guidance, training, and encouragement they need to succeed in their musical endeavors.

Jeny

B.A. Music and German Language / Violin and Viola

Jeny Ancer is a 2014 graduate of the University of Arkansas, where she earned a Double Bachelor of Arts degree in Music and German Language. She furthered her studies at the Vancouver Academy of Music Conservatory under Dr. Robert Rozek, specializing in Violin Performance.

Jeny began her musical journey at the age of three with piano, experiencing firsthand the impact of early music education and the lasting influence of an inspiring teacher. At eleven, she began violin lessons and quickly realized she wanted to pursue music as a lifelong career.

With twelve years of teaching experience both locally and internationally, along with over twenty years of professional performance experience in symphonies and various ensembles, Jeny brings both expertise and enthusiasm to her students. She is passionate about nurturing young musicians and helping them develop confidence, skill, and a lifelong love of music.

Outside of teaching and performing, Jeny enjoys exploring all genres of music, cooking, and spending time with her family.

Lilli

Piano and Voice

Lilli Sever is studying music at the University of Arkansas. Her approach is personalized and supportive, helping each student unveil their unique potential while building joy and confidence along the way.

Growing up in a musical family, Lilli has been singing and playing the piano for as long as she can remember. Over the years, she has developed experience across a variety of genres, including musical theatre, jazz, folk, and more.

Lilli’s passion is to guide every student toward reaching their full musical potential while cultivating a lifelong love for music.
